How to Have a High Traffic Blog
A brief observation on how to have a blog which attracts a lot of traffic.
Write about one of these topics:
Sex
Politics
Technology
Or any combination thereof: sex in politics; politics of technology; technology of sex; politics of sex and technology.
On the flip side, writing about one of these topics pretty much guarantees a low-traffic blog:
Business
Economics and Finance
Accounting
If those are the topics which interest you, the only hope is to mix in topics from the first set: the business of technology; sex and accounting; and politics in economics are all promising fields. Sadly, there are already plenty of blogs which cover the business of technology, and politics in economics. That leaves me with....

"Honey?"
"Hmmm, yes?"
"I was just thinking about that thing you do."
"What thing?"
"The thing where you capitalize the expense and carry it on the balance sheet." GASPS "Yes, that."
"I'm glad you like it."
"That's soooo sexy. It really adds spice to the income statement."
"I can do even better, you know."
"Better?"
"I can extend the amortization schedules, then write the whole thing off as a one-time expense."
"Oh, baby, I don't know if I could stand that."
"You wanna do it?"
"Mmmmm, yeah. It might not work, but we'll sure have fun trying."
